What does a day in the life of a web designer look like?!
Website in a Day has become my absolute favorite service to pull off, so here’s what a typical web in a day looks like for me.
7:30am-Wake up and make my little and I something to eat. We get dressed, and I get him off to my babysitter for the day.
9:00am-I sit down and get ready to get started. I get any images uploaded into ShowIt, make sure I have any questions for the business owner written down, and make sure I have everything in order.
10:00am-Quick phone call with the business owner to do a run down of the day and what to expect. I make sure she understands I’ll be texting her throughout the day just to get approval, but if there’s anything that isn’t a quick fix, it’ll all be uploaded into her Notion portal as well for feedback.
11:00am-12:00pm- I am usually done with the homepage by this time, and I send that over for approval. The homepage is typically the longest page I work on simply because I’m getting a feel for your vibe. From there, the rest of the pages are usually a breeze.
12:00pm-4:00pm-From here, I finish the other four pages of your design and grab approval as I go. At 4:00, I’ll go in and test all the buttons and make sure the design responds as necessary. By 5:00pm, you’ll have the code to install on your website as well as all the videos to go in and make changes to the design and add copy!
And we’re done! From here I do a satisfying little fake slam shut of my laptop and go spend time with my husband and little. Let’s be real, when you’re being creative all day, you need that satisfying fake slam to shut off your brain lol!
